Announcement: MUSA Forming U9/U10 Academy Groups To: U9 and U10 age recreation league players Madison United Soccer Association is seeking U9 and U10 age recreation league players interested in advancing their soccer skills to participate in an academy group. 

A soccer academy is simply a group of players focused on training.  The goal for an academy is to develop a player's skills.  To achieve that end, the emphasis is on individual learning, creativity, and fun.  Players have the opportunity to improve technically and increase confidence with the ball.  The environment is without pressure - there are no league or tournament games to win. 

A maximum of twelve players are assigned to a group.  Beginning in March, the group meets once per week for training under the direction of a licensed coach.  A scrimmage with another academy group is scheduled every second or third weekend.  The scrimmages are played in Madison County or within a one hour drive. 

To participate in the academy group, a player must be concurrently registered in the MUSA U9/U10 recreational league.  The cost is $70.
